Magnum Products Receives Special Marine Corp Recognition

(Berlin, WI) August 18, 2003 - Magnum Products LLC recently received a special recognition at the 3rd Tri-Service Power Expo & Conference in Norfolk, VA. The award was presented by Mr. Mike Gallagher of the United States Marine Corp Expeditionary Power Systems Group in recognition of their "fast response in supplying generators" to meet the USMC needs in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Magnum Products received an urgent call from the USMC in February inquiring on the availability of diesel generators to power some of the USMC field equipment during operations in Iraq. Magnum leaped into action to secure components, and begin assembly. Within 8 days of receiving the final order from the USMC, Magnum had more than a normal month's output complete and ready for shipment. "It was a whirlwind of activity around here, all focus was on getting the generators to our troops that needed them," said Steve Romme, President of Magnum Products. "We had already been working overtime to supply light towers to the military, so this additional request really strained our capabilities, but Magnum has a way of making the impossible happen" he added.

In receiving the award, Jack Heinemann, Manager of Governmental Sales at Magnum commented, "It was humbling to have Magnum Products recognized in a forum as large as this conference. We have always prided ourselves on meeting even the toughest customer requests, but I must admit this is one we will all remember for a while."
