Every hour, a child in Wisconsin is born into poverty. The Children's Defense Fund reports that 14% of Wisconsin's children are poor and 6.4% are without health insurance. Only 55% of eligible children receive food stamps. The statistics are staggering and on the rise.

These economic times impact everyone, but particularly those already struggling. The Basic Needs Fund will be a source of comfort and opportunity for non-profit organizations waging the fight against poverty throughout Green Lake County.

We are all here to be part of the solution. On Wednesday, July 18, 2012, Magnum Power Products will again host the Tee It Up 4 Basic Needs golf outing. Our goal is to raise $100,000 at this years' Tee It Up event.

  • The time is now. It won't get any easier or cheaper to address these issues in the future.
  • The Basic Needs Fund is one of the best charitable investments you can make in Green Lake County. 100% of every dollar contributed will be matched with another dollar and go directly to support non-profit organizations engaged in problem solving in our county.
  • Collaborative funding by corporations, foundations and private donors is the answer to this problem. There is strength in numbers.
  • The Green Lake County/Ripon Community Foundation will grant 10% of the Basic Needs Fund each year. The balance will remain in the fund to grow for the future.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of many people!
